The Empowering Cancer Survivor Initiative by the New Zealand High Commission together with the Indira Cancer Trust was dedicated to providing support, resources, and a strong community for those who have battled cancer. Through resilience-building programs, mentorship, and advocacy, donations of sewing machines, mobile huts, weighing scales, a chain saw, pop corn machines, a refrigerator, cash donations were given to set up small businesses and also the transport of the goods received by the families were also paid for. This program was aimed to empower survivors to reclaim their lives and inspire others with their stories of strength and perseverance. Together, we foster hope and resilience, ensuring no survivor walks alone.

නවසීලන්ත මහ කොමසාරිස් කාර්යාලය විසින් ඉන්දිරා පිළිකා භාරය සමඟ එක්ව ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලද පිළිකාව පරදා දිවි ගලවා ගත් අයගේ ජීවීත සවිබල ගැන්වීම සදහා වූ මුලපිරීමේ වැඩසටහන පිළිකා රෝගයට ගොදුරු වූවන් සඳහා ආධාර, සම්පත් සැපයීමට මෙන්ම ශක්තිමත් ප්‍රජාවක් තැනීමට කැප වූ වැඩ පිළිවෙලකි. මෙහිදී ආත්මශක්තිය ගොඩනගා ගැනීමේ වැඩසටහන්, උපදේශකත්වය සහ උපදේශනය, මහන මැෂින්, ජංගම කුටි, කිරුම් තරාදි, දම්වැල් සහිත කියත්, පොප් කෝන් යන්ත්‍ර, ශීතකරණයක් පරිත්‍යාග කිරීම සහ කුඩා ව්‍යාපාර ආරම්භ කිරීමට සහ පිළිකා රෝගී පවුල් සදහා ලද භාණ්ඩ ප්‍රවාහනය සඳහා මුදල් පරිත්‍යාගද ලබා දෙන ලදී. මෙම වැඩසටහනේ අරමුණ වූයේ පිළිකාව පරදා දිවි ගලවා ගත් අය හට ඔවුන්ගේ ජීවිත නැවත නගා සිටුවා ගැනීම සහ ඔවුන්ගේ ශක්තිය සහ නොපසුබට උත්සාහයන් පිළිබඳ කථා හරහා අන් අයව දිරිගැන්වීමයි. එක්ව, අපි බලාපොරොත්තු සහ දරා ගැනීමේ හැකියාවන් ශක්තිමත් කරමු, පිළිකාව පරදා දිවි ගලවා ගත් කිසිවෙක් තනිවම ගමන් නොකරන බව සහතික කරමු.
